As a learner at the Cape Academy of Maths, Science, and Technology, Miguel has recently been elected as a member of the Representative Council of Learners (RCL), showcasing his leadership and commitment to serving his peers.

In his RCL speech, Miguel spoke about the importance of leadership and collaboration, saying:

“I believe in a Grade 8 year where everyone feels included, where our ideas matter, and where we work together as a team. Your voices are powerful, and as RCL, I want to ensure that your thoughts, your concerns, and your dreams are heard.”

He emphasized his belief in leadership through action, stating:

“It’s not enough to just speak about change; we need to actively make it happen. As RCL, I’ll be committed to not only listening but also taking steps to create a positive and engaging environment for all of us.”
