Dr. Armand Bam, the Director of Football, takes overall responsibility at Spirit International Football Academy and brings a wealth of expertise shaped by over two decades of leadership in sports, education and social impact. A multifaceted professional, Armand’s journey includes coaching junior club football, playing at board and provincially, and competing semi-professionally in the National First Division (NFD) as a 16-year-old. These experiences provide him with deep insights into both the technical and developmental aspects of football.

In addition to his football career, Armand is a qualified biokineticist, holding a Bachelor of Human Movement Science (Honours) in Biokinetics from Stellenbosch University. This specialised qualification enables him to focus on the physical conditioning and rehabilitation of athletes, ensuring optimal performance and injury prevention. His academic credentials also include a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Cape Town, Masters in Disability Studies, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice and additional certifications in leadership and project management.

Throughout his career, Armand has blended his academic expertise with practice, developing successful educational and sports programmes while managing talent at both junior and senior levels. His leadership roles across sectors demonstrate his commitment to community development and social impact, indicative of his commitment to youth development.
