Harper Makhi Mapila is a seasoned coach and educator with over two decades of experience in youth football development. As the Foundation Phase Head Coach at the Spirit International Football Academy, Harper brings a wealth of expertise in nurturing young talent, with a particular focus on the U9 to U12 age groups. His extensive background includes leadership roles at Cape Town Spurs and Ajax Cape Town, where he successfully guided youth teams, helping them build strong technical foundations and a passion for the game.

Harper’s coaching philosophy is rooted in respect, discipline, and personal growth, core values that have guided his career both on the field and in the classroom. His dual experience as an educator at Fezeka Secondary School, where he served as a Sports Master and life orientation educator, has further enriched his ability to mentor young players holistically, ensuring their development extends beyond football.
