Noel Cousins brings over 20 years of football coaching and development experience to his role as Head of Academy at Spirit International Football Academy. With a rich background in youth development, Noel has been instrumental in nurturing young talent and preparing them for the professional level. His career includes leadership positions such as Director of Youth and Technical Director at Hout Bay United FC and Head Coach for clubs like Ikapa Sporting and Cape Umoya FC.

Noel’s success in youth coaching is marked by his time at Ajax Cape Town, where he led the U17 team to multiple tournament victories, including winning the league title, knockout district cup, Engen Cup and Coca-Cola Cup. His expertise in international youth development was further showcased when he guided his team to compete in the prestigious U17 Future Cup in Amsterdam, where they faced elite teams such as AC Milan and Bayern Munich.

As a certified SAFA Level 1 coach, Noel’s dedication to player development extends beyond the technical aspects of the game. He emphasises holistic growth, ensuring that players develop both on and off the pitch. His ability to create tailored training programmes and foster a winning mindset has led to numerous successful outcomes, making him a trusted leader in youth football.
